A real aircraft. An immediate experience.
Uzundzhovo Airfield as a place to meet and fly.
Avio Club Haskovo welcomes ultralight pilots by prior coordination. The maintained concrete and unpaved runways create the distinctive LBHS setting, while the club facilities make the visit worthwhile after landing too.
Every visit requires timely coordination and an independent check of official aeronautical information, NOTAMs, weather and all applicable requirements.
UL pilot desk
Arrival starts with a clear picture.
A practical briefing area for visiting ultralight pilots: essential LBHS details, preparation sequence and quick estimates for the pre-flight conversation.

Use these as conversation starters. Confirm every operational detail during prior coordination.
Confirm the current local procedure
Usability is confirmed before arrival
No unannounced arrival
Arrival sequence
Four decisions before the propeller turns
- 01Coordinate
Share aircraft, registration, ETA and people on board with the club.
- 02Build the picture
Check official AIP/NOTAM, active airspace, weather trend and alternates.
- 03Verify performance
Use current mass, balance, surface, wind and temperature with the aircraft manual.
- 04Reconfirm
Before departure, confirm the runway condition, local activity, parking and arrival procedure.
Pilot readiness
Eight confirmations before departure
Tap each item only after a real check. If conditions or the plan change, review the affected items again.
Quick estimates
Wind components and density altitude
Fast arithmetic for orientation before using the approved aircraft data. Change every example value to the current measured or official value.
Wind components
Enter the magnetic runway heading and wind-from direction. Results use the same unit as the wind input.
Density altitude
Approximation using elevation, QNH and outside air temperature. The initial 160 ft value is an editable example — verify current aerodrome data.
Do not use these estimates as performance approval. Compare them with the AFM/POH, actual mass, surface and conservative personal limits.
